Hearts First Bike Ride - Peak District 2007

Today I met up with a couple of friends and we took part in the Hearts First Peak District Bike ride. This was an event that helped to raise money and create an awareness for the British Heart Foundation.

The start/finish was at Rowsley South Station - in between Matlock and Bakewell - and the route took us around the Derbyshire Dales District. Along the way we passed through Winster, Bradbourne and Youlgrave - a section of the Midshires Way was also thrown in to test our off road bike handling skills.

Anyway, if you are new to cycling, take a look at the list of rides on the BHF website - none are too demanding and most (if not all) will have food and drink stops to add to the relaxed atmosphere... after all, it's not a race!
